Heritage Global Solutions was founded in June, 2003. The principals of Heritage have in excess of 150 years combined experience in Information Technology (IT) Consulting. Our management team brings experience from Fortune 500 companies like IBM, Premex, Oracle, CISCO, Sun Microsystems, United Technologies, SAIC, US Government and Northrop Grumman. The Heritage management team is proud of it's reputation for repeated success in building teams that not only achieve, but exceed the goals and expectations of our clients. Mr. Jeff Estep, President
Jeff Estep, enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and former Marine, has 25 years of experience in Information Technology Consulting and Staffing. Jeff joined a former division of IBM after his service as a Marine. He has held senior sales management positions with IBM, Sun Microsystems, DPRC and Computec. He received his B.S. from the University of Oklahoma and M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.
Ms. Lydia McCarthy, SVP Operations
Lydia McCarthy's diverse experience lies in technology consulting and staffing. A veteran with 26 years of experience, Lydia began as a programmer before advancing to Contract Project Manager. Lydia soon expanded her role to include recruiting and sales. Lydia attended Michigan State University majoring in History, and later attended the University of Louisville for Computer Science. For the last 17 years, Lydia has also held the title of Senior Level Sales and Development with the renowned DPRC and Compuware companies.
Mr. James Furness, Director of Operations-Atlanta
James Furness is an Atlanta native and has more than 10 years experience in Supply Chain and Technology in both Project Management and Staff Augmentation. James has worked with Fortune 500 companies as well as small to mid-cap firms to optimize their Supply chain and Logistics Operations. James worked for one of the largest Executive search firms in the world and has a wealth of contacts on a National level. James knowledge around internal Supply Chains has greatly increased visibility and savings for his clientele. James pursued his B.S. in Biology from Atlantic Union college in South Lancaster MA.
Mr. Shawn Estep, Regional Sales Director
Shawn Estep has 10 years experience in business development/project management and is an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Shawn brings to Heritage a strong background in creating new business ventures and practices. Prior to assuming this position, Shawn was the Director of Business Development for Home Solutions of America, producing major accounts and establishing new markets from Florida to California. Shawn joins Heritage as a leading consultant in marketing and new business development for both Heritage’s State and Federal markets. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management/Business and recently a graduate of MLM-Military Leadership Methods.
Mr. Larry Dicus, Network Systems Practice Director
Larry Dicus has joined Heritage Global Solutions as Director of Network Services. Larry brings over 30 years experience in developing business solutions in the IT and Networking industries. He spent the last eight plus years at Cisco Systems in global partner development assignments and helped Cisco develop one of their most successful strategic alliances. He has extensive senior sales and technical management experience from AT&T, General Data Comm, and Unisys/Burroughs. He earned his B.S. degree focused on Management of Information Systems from California State Polytechnic University.
Mr. Thomas Dolton, Storage Solutions Practice Director
Tom Dolton has over 30 years in the IT industry as a Senior Storage Specialist and Storage Practice Manager with such companies as IBM, Calcomp, Storage Technology Corp., and Sun Microsystems. Tom brings extensive knowledge of storage products plus extensive knowledge of business continuity, document management, backup, and disaster recovery relating to storage. He has held positions in technical support, pre and post sales support, storage architecture, and consulting services. Before joining Heritage Global Solutions, Tom was a Senior Systems Engineer and Storage Architect with Sun Microsystems. He received his B.S.B.M from the University of Phoenix.
Ms. Elaine Fat, Regional Director
Elaine Fat brings over 25 years experience in providing businesses with software solutions using a consultative approach to meet each customer’s business needs. Her most recent position was Director of Business Development providing Revenue Management software solutions to airlines, cruise/ferry and rail companies worldwide. She has also held positions with Control Data Corporation (CDC) providing software solutions to many industries including health care, manufacturing, banking, and government agencies. Prior to working at CDC, Elaine worked at TRW Defense and Space Systems Group as a Member of the Technical Staff and as a scientific programmer/analyst at Magnavox Government and Industrial Electronics Company working on their Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) System. Elaine holds a BA in Mathematics/Psychology from University of California at Los Angeles.
Ms. Maureen O’Hara, Systems Intergrator Director
Maureen O’Hara has over 25 years in the IT industry as a Professional Services Director and Consulting Principal with such companies as IBM, Sequent Computer Systems, Inc., Countrywide., and Wang Laboratories, Inc. Maureen brings extensive knowledge of large scale project implementation plus extensive knowledge of business process re-engineering, data warehouse implementation, server migration services, large-scale project/solution staffing, and technical staffing. She has held senior management positions in consulting services, pre and post sales support, multi-vertical project implementation, and technical staffing. Before joining Heritage Global Solutions, Maureen was a Technical Sales Support Representative and Migration Services Principal with IBM. Prior to IBM Maureen held the position of Sr. Operations Director with Sequent Computer Systems for the Southwest Area. She received her B.S. in Business Management from Hofstra University.
Mr. Mike Maxon, Operations Manager / Recruiter
Mike Maxon joined Heritage in February 2004 after a 30 year career with a large chemical company. Mike is an honorable discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Mike was trained to become a recruiter when he joined Heritage and has worked up to become the Operations Manager overseeing the recruiting effort. He is responsible for weekly contact with all consulting staff and managing any issues. Mike attended Delta College in Saginaw, Michigan majoring in political science.
Mr. Thomas Swysgood, Chief Information Officer
Tom Swysgood is a senior technology executive bringing over 25 years experience in management, specializing in complex systems design and development, data center operations, technology sales and professional services. Tom rose through the systems engineering ranks at Data General before it was acquired by EMC. He was the managing Director over DG’s Professional Services organization in the western U.S., and continued managing technologists with FileNet and Sun Microsystems. Tom recently left Sun after 12 years, the last four with their Government Division, where his team managed the strategic relationship with several large aerospace companies. Tom’s leadership and direction over national support teams brought Sun and its aerospace partners significant success winning government programs, mostly in the intelligence community.
At Heritage, Tom manages our information resources, complex programs and consultancy practices while offering strategic insight to clients needing to understand critical success factors and risks associated with complex IT initiatives. Tom earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Systems Analysis from Miami University, and then continued his studies with post graduate work at Battelle Memorial Institute, Northeastern University and UCLA’s Anderson School.
Ms. Carolyn LeComte, Director Healthcare Consulting Services
Carolyn LeComte is a seasoned healthcare consultant with over 20 years experience in physician consulting, outpatient coding and compliance, and physician revenue cycle operations. Carolyn has been key to the success of start-up consulting firms and has held management positions with Wellstar Health Systems and Emory Healthcare. As a physician consultant, Carolyn co-developed a comprehensive consulting program and managed multi-disciplinary teams. She directed the delivery of coding, compliance and documentation education to physicians and their staffs throughout the United States. At Wellstar, Carolyn managed outpatient coding and compliance for all their hospitals making up Georgia's second largest healthcare system. Emory Healthcare is Georgia's largest healthcare provider and a nationally ranked Atlanta-based medical research and teaching institution offering tertiary and investigational services in multiple disciplines. While with Emory, Carolyn was responsible for denial management for eight surgical specialties representing 15% of Emory’s clinical revenue. Her leadership over revenue management and coding teams helped contribute to the recent, unprecedented profit growth of the institution. This recent surge in profits enabled Emory to make several acquisitions that have catapulted it to first in size in Georgia.
At Heritage, Carolyn leads our Healthcare Services Consultancy Practice serving physicians and clinical practitioners with their goals of Meaningful Use of Electronic Health Records, ICD-10 coding implementation, and other healthcare challenges. Carolyn holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also an AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist-Physician (CCS-P), and an AAPC Certified Professional Coder-Hospital (CPC-H).
Joseph Ippolito, Regional Sales Director
An Information Technology Executive, Joe brings over 30 years of consulting, services and solutions to the bio medical, media and entertainment, manufacturing and distribution industries. He also has consulted for entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and investors. He is focused on consulting engagements with businesses for ERP – SAP; Oracle; Microsoft: SAS – Software as a Service; CRM – Salesforce.com, Seibel, Microsoft and SAP; mobile/IP and wireless computing. Efforts include best practices evaluation, medium and long-term trends assessment, and development of Strategic Technology Plans. He brings his unique perspective on solving the operational challenges that face all industries. Joe has also held senior sales executive positions at IBM, Digital Equipment, AT&T and Prime computer.
Mr. Brian Delaney, Strategic Sourcing Director
Brian Delaney brings over 25 years of consulting, management and outsourcing delivery experience with Fortune 500 organizations to our client engagements. Brian has successfully managed many application outsourcing, package system deployment, portfolio rationalization, IT strategy and IT process improvement projects at Accenture, IBM and other firms. Brian has a proven track record managing international projects implemented with global resourcing models. Additionally, he has a broad set of experiences in the strategic sourcing process. He has managed evaluations from the consultant and outsourcing service provider perspectives in dozens of sourcing efforts. He has been especially successful helping clients balance service delivery models with contract structures and pricing methodologies.
Brian has a degree in biology from Tulane University and a graduate degree from the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California.
Mr. Barry Boone, Sourcing Consultant
Barry brings over thirty years of information services management and outsourcing related experience to client engagements. Barry is a resourceful outsourcing advisor. For thirteen years at TPI, he assisted many Fortune 500 clients in solving their IT operational and business problems. His experiences include strategic planning, financial planning, information resource management and outsourcing process execution. This includes management of Request for Proposals development, service provider selection and evaluation of service provider responses. Barry’s strengths include Client and Account Management, Executive Level IT Management and IT Strategic Planning. Prior to his career in Sourcing Advisory Services, Barry managed the information technology departments for Pacific Bell and Vons.
Barry has a Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University in Ohio and he is certified in ITIL Foundations.
James Voelz, Sourcing Consultant
Jim brings more than thirty years deep executive and hands-on experience in the business of large-scale IT management, rationalization and systems consolidation. He has a proven track record of managing complex global teams and service delivery while achieving outstanding financial results. Jim works with clients to help them assess, evaluate and design systems delivery capability for their global operations. Jim has experience in serving multiple industries including financial services, telecommunications, government, energy, transportation and healthcare. He has conducted numerous assessments of applications portfolios and technology infrastructures. These assessments determine the business impacts of different rationalization approaches and provide insight to the development of the rationalization plans.
Jim has a degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin, a graduate degree in Computer Science from Kansas State University and he attended the US Army War College. Jim has held significant executive management positions with EDS, the U.S. Army, and the Defense Information Systems Agency. Jim is certified in ITIL Foundations and holds a Project Management Certification from the US Army.
OUR HERITAGE
My great great Grandfather was James W. Vail. He was born in Jackson County, Alabama in 1837. He was the son of D.W. Vail, a leading professor of literature and languages, who spent his life teaching. James Vail married Francis Folsom in 1871. Francis was a Choctaw translator. They had six children. Their son, Charles E. Vail, is the original Enrollee and my great Grandfather. Charles Vail married Flora Guest, also Choctaw. Flora attended the Bacone Indian University and was part of the music department. My grandmother Nell and my mother Coleen were very proud of our Choctaw Heritage and ensured that we honor the Choctaw Nation's tradition and culture.
